Dragon Tiger Game Rules

Introduction

Dragon Tiger is a fast-paced card game where players bet on whether the Dragon or Tiger hand will be higher-ranking.

Gameplay

Cards and Rankings

  • Dragon and Tiger are two positions, each representing one card.
  • The game uses eight standard 52-card decks (without jokers) in a card shoe.
  • Cards are ranked from 1 to 13 (Ace = 1, Jack = 11, Queen = 12, and King = 13).

Playing a Round

  1. At the start of each round, the dealer burns one card from the shoe.
  2. The dealer then deals two cards face down, the first for Dragon and the second for Tiger.
  3. Once betting ends, the dealer reveals both cards to determine the round result.

Shuffling

  • When the “cut” card is drawn, it signals the final round of the current shoe.
  • After the final round, the decks are shuffled.
  • Before gameplay resumes, the dealer draws and reveals the first card from the shoe, and uses its value (Ace = 1, 2 to 10 = face value, Jack/Queen/King = 10) to burn (discard) the same number of cards from the shoe face down.
